The Period Magazine
This is a pseudo magazine that I created by compiling images from my Eastwood Illustration Series to composite a cover for a publication that does not exist. I enjoy making work for publications because it allows me to use both my illustration and design skills. I further illustrated in this magazine to create an article, expanding my practice and bringing the brand to life. The Period Magazine would cover important issues on climate change, thus the cover of this issue is illustrated to reflect that. The color palette and typography suites the aesthetic to portray an element of futuristic and organic nature in this magazine.

The First Issue
This magazine was created to practice my skills in magazine and article design. I design my own illustrations into a composition that fits the brand identity of The Period Magazine. I use the idea of the period as punctuation to center the compilation of artworks. The palette and typogrphy of this magazine remains consistent throughout with muted greens, blues and orange.
Cover Page
The Period Magazine covers issues related to climate change, which I highlight in this article derived from The Death and Life of the Great Lakes, by Dan Eagan. I rearranged texts from this book into magazine format to create an article which my illustrations support. I design and summarize the crux of the books thesis in this cover.
Article
Maintaining brand identity, I include an illustrated graphic on the right hand side following palette uniformity and the font remains consistent, throughout the article, magazine cover and issue cover. I include the enlarged punctuation mark as an icon to represent The Period Magazine symbol.
